Os dez factos que necessita conhecer para o êxito em relações interpessoais em terras de Sua Majestade.
(reunidos por uma tuga emigrada e apoiados pela recolha de depoimentos dos autóctones)

1 - Não espere conhecer alguém num curso, ginásio ou similar pois o lema é "chegar, aprender/treinar, partir"
2 - As etapas habituais para conhecer alguém ("in the biblic sense", usando o idioma local) são: pub, bebedeira, primeiro contacto, dormir juntos ("get it out of the way" segundo um nativo...), conhecer melhor, avaliar se existe compatibilidade...
3 - É normal alguém elogiar qualidades físicas e referir-se a eventuais actividades a partilhar num futuro consigo ainda que sejam "only friends".
4 - O mesmo não se aplica ao envio de mais de 3 sms/semana ou 1 mensagem de correio electrónico/dia de conteúdo absolutamente normal, acções estas levam o destinatário(a) a sentir-se "under a pressure environment".
5 - Restrinja-se aos factos. Expressões demasiado próximas da alma e o relato de experiências pessoais demonstrando emoção são considerados muito intensos. Assim, por exemplo, deve referir (se absolutamente necessário) "I had a terrible car accident at that time", mas nunca "I am afraid of traveling by car ever since I had a big accident". Se o fizer, prepare-se para as consequências, pois até o homem que lá foi montar a cama pode achar que "flirtou" com ele se falarem animadamente sobre viagens... Quem diz isto diz também a mulher a quem o motorista de autocarro cumprimenta todos os dias...
6 - É normal alguém tentar um beijo no primeiro encontro, mas não o é telefonar na semana seguinte.
7 - Não responder de imediato a um qualquer contacto recebido da pessoa na qual está interessado. Deve esperar pelo menos 48-72 h antes de responder pois não quer parecer interessada/o. Sim, podem estar a sair juntos e até haver "flirt", mas não pode parecer interessado. Claro, sim, claro, que isto não é válido se na vez seguinte em que contactar o dito indivíduo e a resposta não fôr imediata. Nesse caso e apenas nesse deve responder imediatamente. Confuso?! Não! Muito simples!
8 - Finja-se ocupado. Ainda que esteja morto de tédio no fim-de-semana não é conveniente soar demasiado livre.
9 - Não. Palavras mais pessoais, beijos ou mesmo intimidade não significam que exista alguma coisa. São apenas amigos até que ouça algo em contrário.
10 - Em caso de dúvida ou irritabilidade opte sempre pela indiferença. Afinal de contas não quer parecer uma presa fácil, pois não?!

Hoje acordei ao som desta música. Adoro-a! Saí para o trabalho. Frio lá fora e a ameaçar chuva. Depois de umas horas de trabalho e de comer um almoço bem completo, incluindo uma banana, duas fatias de pizza, um pão de alho, um pacote de batatas fritas pequeno e uma bolacha de chocolate...grande...(há que aproveitar o que nos é oferecido! ;-)) voltei para casa. Já estava a chover e continua frio. Soube deliciosamente caminhar à chuva. Só me apetecia chegar a casa, mudar de calças e ténis e ir correr à chuva... Não achei muito sensato visto que estava quase de noite e enfim, não seria agradável cair para aí num buraco... hehe
